Pretty Girls Make Graves ~ R.I.P.

The following was posted on Pretty Girls Make Graves' site earlier today.

We are sorry to announce that our upcoming tour in May will be our last. Nick quit the band and the rest of us feel like it wouldn’t be right to continue on without him. The 5 of us feel very lucky to have met and worked with some truly amazing people over the years. Thank you all so much….
~ This is a real drag because I never got to see them live. They even played here in Reno once or twice and I just didn't go, what an idiot.

Beastie News

The New York rappers are recording their seventh album and may sample some new works when they headline the Good Vibrations festival in Australia next month.

However, co-founder and vocalist Mike Diamond was careful not to reveal too much about the latest project. "It is actually really different ... (fans) can expect to be disappointed, they can expect to be angry at us," the 41-year-old joked from his home in New York.

"It's always hard to know (how the album will turn out). We still have a little of a way to go. I don't want to describe it too much because whatever I say might change.

"We are in the middle of recording it ... we are pretty excited (about coming to Australia)."
The masterminds behind hit singles Brass Monkey, Fight For Your Right, Intergalactic and No Sleep Til Brooklyn, are returning to Australia after a two-year hiatus.

~ I wonder, how could the Beastie Boys ever sound like anything other than the Beastie Boys?

Love Gods Way says be on the lookout for Gay Bands!

"In Our effort to keep this list up to date we'd appreciate your help. If you know of a band that is Gay or propogating a Gay message please email us so we can update. Donnie is handling this his email is: "

This is terrifying! Where do they get some of their information, "Wilco." Oh and this one is just priceless ... "Morrissey(?questionable?)," ha!

My recommendation? Email this creep, offer to buy him a dictionary so he can learn to spell and then tell him you are going STRAIGHT -- home to listen to as many "gay" discs as you can get your heathen little hands on.

A Little History ~ My Top 10 for 1998

I thought I'd start this thing off with a little history ... my top 10 disks from 1998. That is the oldest list I could find. This might give you some ideas about where I come from musically. Feel free to rip me to shreds, or better yet tell me what you were listening to in 1998.

(in no particular order)
