Described by VICE as a "legitimately fun and GOOD band," the Seattle duo Pony Time are gearing up for the release of their latest full-length record, "Go Find Your Own," out February 19th and backed by an accompanying 16-date tour. While Pony Time has some vintage facets (thick reverb, early-sixties rough rock melodies), they're undoubtedly contemporary—and local. Their songs are sonic slices of Seattle rock right now. Hints of Pacific Northwest past gleam through in riot grrrl beats, Sonics garage grit, and low logger truck tones.

About Pony Time:
A two-piece garage rock band from Seattle, WA, Pony Time is: Luke Beetham, a Seattle native, on bass/baritone guitar/vocals and Stacy Peck,an Iowa transplant, on drums. The two met helping a mutual friend move a stereo back in 2009. They started playing their unique brand of danceable punk music together soon after. Bands that make them tick include: Gary Numan, Bo Diddley, The Milkshakes, The Breeders, and Fleetwood Mac.

The duo has gone on three tours, released the cassette "Pony Time Can Drink 100 Wine Coolers (on Don't Stop Believin' Records)" and a self-titled six song EP in late 2011 (on Per Se Records). Their latest release, "Go Find Your Own," features twelve new songs and a "more driving, aggressive sound." Plus: Instrument switching!

"Go Find Your Own" — offered on vinyl, CD, and digital download by Per Se Records—was recorded by Don Farwell at Earwig Studio over the span of a year, and will be distributed by Light In The Attic Records. With track titles like "Geordie," "Lesbian Mayor," and "Kathleen Hanna," the record shows Pony Time's playful relationship to pop culture. Sure, Pony Time shows are sticky, good time dance parties, but the band also cares a lot about: Star Trek the Next Generation, LGBTQ rights, feminism, hair pomade, cats, and candy.
