Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings

I have heard a couple of new Counting Crows tracks and I have to say, I am pretty stoked for the release of this album. I know, I just shredded my own Indie cred, guess what? I don't give a rats ass. I have always been a fan of the Crows. I like my Crows sappy though, so I hope the tracks tend towards "When I Dream of Michelangelo"; "1492" just doesn't do it for me.

Just A Little Lovin' Giveaway!

"Dusty Springfield was a soulful singer. You can't ever fill her shoes. So I just set out to sing songs we all want to hear again. The road map I followed when cutting these, was the one she made years ago. It was easy. I just sang and let the songs do the work. I'm so glad I did. Dusty inspired it all."

Accomplished artist Shelby Lynne is back with her 10th studio album, Just A Little Lovin', to be released January 29th on Lost Highway Records. Nine of the ten tracks are newly arranged versions of songs from the Dusty Springfield songbook, all produced by Phil Ramone, recorded live on two-inch tape at legendary Capital Studio A in Los Angeles.

We are giving away a signed copy of the album in digipack format!! Thanks to Tristin at Filter for making this happen! All you have to do to win is enter a number between 1 and 50 in the comments section. I will pick a winner on Jan. 18th!

In the meantime, head over to Shelby's MySpace to sample a few new tracks: http://myspace.com/shelbylynne.
