Lucero @ Armando's in Martinez, CA. ~ 10/5/12
Lucero is at their very best in tiny clubs and small bars.
This show was excellent.
If you get a chance to see one of your favorite bands at Armando's in downtown Martinez, CA, do it! It's a fantastic little club.
It reminds me of what Ark-a'ik almost was or could have been.
Thanks to Ben for closing the show with "Drink 'Till We're Gone."
Come back soon, fellas.

New Sea Wolf
Indie-folk group Sea Wolf - the brainchild of Los Angeles native Alex Brown Church - just kicked off a nationwide tour last week in support of their new album Old World Romance.
After two successful releases (2007's Leaves In The River & 2009's White Water, White Bloom), Sea Wolf landed a track on the soundtrack to the 2009 mega-hit film The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Since then, Alex and his band have been working away at crafting what would become Old World Romance. After completing tracking last year, a complete hard drive failure forced them to start over and re-record the entire album from square one.
Months later, they emerged with the ten tracks that make up Old World Romance - arguably the band's best material to date. A release that Performer Magazine calls "a beautiful album, dark and thoughtful but with bright moments of hope and acceptance," and LA Times praises for its "lushly languid folk-pop arrangements."
Listen to the album below, or find it on your favorite streaming music service.

MEN support Pussy Riot with new tune & video.
"On October 1st 2012 at 11am Moscow City Court will hear the appeal of the sentence Masha, Nadia and Katja.
This may be the last chance for the Russian judicial system to free the jailed members of Pussy Riot.
After this, the women are expected to be sent to three different penal detention centers, where we are very concerned for their safety.
Please check in at www.freepussyriot.org for more information."

PEACHES @ CommRow ~ 9/27/12
So many photos, so much fun!
This is my 5th time seeing Peaches and she reinvents her show every time I see her.
There is always something new and surprising at a Peaches show.
Her theatrics are the best.
Doll head nipples on her tittie shoulder pads.
Grinder girl.
Fake Blood.
Sexy lady dancers.
Unicorns.
Creepy Masks.
Free Pussy Riot!
Champagne showers.
She has endless energy and is completely passionate about her stage presence and show.
My favorite moment of the evening is when the Peach did a cover of Tina Turner's "Private Dancer".
Win.
Thanks to CommRow for bringing the Peach back to town.
